Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio' - Maiden Grass - looking good!
Adagio’ produces fine-textured, narrow leaves and grows in a stylish, compact, rounded shape. At four feet (five in bloom) this dwarf Miscanthus is sought-after for small patios and gardens. Dwarf Maiden Grass is also prized for use in borders and massed plantings, or as a foreground for larger Maiden Grass cultivars. It puts on a lovely display in late summer when fan-shaped, rose-colored flowers rise above the foliage. Leaves turn a beautiful burgundy shade in fall. Dwarf Maiden Grass can be left standing for winter interest.
Best in full or partial sun with 6 + hours daily.
Deer resistant and tolerates poor soil.
