Verbena bonariensis/ vervain
Aptly called "verbena on a stick", Verbena Bonariensis is tall and airy. These bright lavender clusters are held high on wiry stems that wave in the breeze from mid summer to frost. Structural garden element. Best grown in evenly moist, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates poor soils as long as drainage is good. Blooms mid summer to fall. Hardy from zone 6, sometimes a tender perennial for our area, but re-seeds readily.
Mature size: 2-4' high x 1.5-3' wide
Pot size: #1 (2.5 qt)
