Colchicum Autumnale (Autumn crocus) is a stunning, heirloom autumn-blooming bulb known for large, double, lilac-pink flowers that resemble waterlilies. Blooming in late summer/fall without foliage, it grows 6–8 inches tall, is deer-resistant, and thrives in well-drained soil in zones 4–10. All parts are poisonous if eaten, providing excellent protection against critters.
