2022 Hosta of the Year.
Hosta 'Diamond Lake' is a large-scale perennial prized for its dramatic, deeply textured foliage. It features large, heart-shaped, powder-blue leaves that can reach up to 9 inches wide by 11 inches long. The leaves are heavily corrugated (puckered) with elegant, wavy margins, providing incredible architectural texture to shade gardens. Beautiful blue hosta!
Why Should I Grow It? The blue color, the ripples, the corrugation. This is a great hosta! (Walters Gardens 2018). Use this blue hosta to add some color to your shade garden. This plays well with ferns, hellebores, and other hostas.
