Fern, Adiantum pendatum - Northern Maidenhair fern - new Native!
Fern, Adiantum pendatum - Northern Maidenhair fern is a stunning clump-forming native fern which typically grows 1.5 to 2' tall. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade. Attractive ornamental fern for the shaded border, woodland garden, shaded rock garden or native plant garden.
The fine textured foliage of Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum pedatum) provides a perfect foil for other plants in the shade garden. Gently arching fronds seem to float suspended above the ground in a graceful fan-like shape that is unique among ferns. Highly recommended for home landscaping, Maidenhair fern is easy to grow, low maintenance, and highly resistant to damage from deer.
