Leucojum aestivum - Summer Snowflake features dark grassy green leaves to 12” long and 1” wide that form an upright, vase-shaped clump of foliage. Typically, 2-5 white, nodding, bell-shaped flowers appear at the top of naked hollow flower scapes (to 12-15” tall) in spring. Blooms late April/May not in summer and usually goes dormant by summer. Easily grown in organically rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Adapts to clay soils.
